Are You On Fire For Jesus??
Are you on fire for Jesus? If you are, that is FANTASTIC!!! It is such an awesome feeling to be in love with Jesus!! I know that to those of you who are not saved and do not know the love of Jesus Christ, my last comment must sound pretty weird to you. But in actuality, it really isn’t weird. Did you know that when all is said and done, and the church has been taken up with Christ in the rapture, it will be those of us who are in love with Jesus who will go with him. If you are a guy, you must be thinking, “how can I be in love with a man?”… and you have every right to think that way, especially if you were brought up to believe that men are only supposed to fall in love with women. So, I am here to explain this to you in a way that you can totally understand why you are supposed to be in love with Jesus - and be able to accept him.
First of all, think about God. God is awesome. He is the one we look to when we are in dire straights. He is omnipresent, He knows everything about us, every thought; He knows every hair on our head - yes, He actually knows the number of hairs on your head… HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!
Jesus said in Luke 12:6-8 (NIV):
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
8 “I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.
Jesus was sitting right next to God when He created the universe, the Earth, the sun, the moon… again I say - EVERYTHING! And it was through Jesus that God created everything. Our God is a triune God. He is made up of three parts: God (the Father), the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. God took His one and only son (who is a part of God) and made him become flesh. He put Jesus on this Earth for only one reason - TO DIE. Maybe you are wondering, “how can a father send his son to Earth just to die?”. The answer in a nutshell is that right from the beginning, man sinned. There has to be a blood sacrifice given to cover that sin — and that sacrifice was Jesus Christ. He is the sacrifice for all of mankind, and if you believe in him, you will be forgiven for your sins. There is a whole lot more to what I am saying, but I am just trying to help you get a better understanding of why you should be in love with Jesus.
Before Jesus came to the Earth, he knew the reason behind God sending him here. He knew that he was coming here to be tortured and sacrificed; but he also loves us so much that he was willing to do this and to die for us. How can we not love him? If your father told you today that your brother has to die so that you may live, and your brother was willing to do that for you, wouldn’t you love your brother that much more? Wouldn’t you think that your brother loves you so much because he is willing to die for YOU?? Not only to die for you but also be tortured and beaten? This is what Jesus did for US and this is WHY you should love him with all your heart and soul. This is why I am ON FIRE FOR JESUS!!
